In 2011 Justin Devillier of La Petite Grocery, put together the “Stand up and Snout” team to compete in the Hogs For the Cause 2011. On the team Justin had added Bart Bell of Crescent Pie & Sausage and Aaron Burgau of Patois along with Captain Billy Ceravolo of the New Orleans Police Department. The team battled 50 other teams in categories such as Whole Hog, Porkpourri, Ribs, and Shoulder. 7,000 people came to the event that day but “Stand up and Snout” did not win anything this year, but at the end of the day $100,000 was raised to benefit families which was what was important!


In 2012 Justin Devillier of La Petite Grocery, along Bart Bell of Crescent Pie & Sausage and Aaron Burgau of Patois along with Captain Billy Ceravolo of the New Orleans Police Department again competed in the Hogs for the Cause. The team battled 58 other teams in categories such as Whole Hog, Porkpourri, Ribs, and Shoulder. 12,000 people came to the event that day but “Stand up and Snout” did not win anything this year.


In 2013 “Stand up and Snout” again competed in the Hogs for the Cause, this time they added two new members, Nathanial Zimet of Boucherie and Dan Esses of Three Muses. The team again battled 88 other teams in categories Whole Hog, Porkpourri, Ribs, and Shoulder. But this year the 15, 000 people that came to the event had a great time and “Stand up and Snout” did win something this year, in fact they took home first place in the Ribs category, and second in Shoulder, which earned them the title of Grand Champion!

In 2014, Rain and mud did not deter a crowd of over 20,000 at Hogs for the Cause. The 6th Annual Ben Sarrat, Jr. “High on the Hog” Cook-off topped 90 teams. The premier funding source for pediatric brain cancer outreach services in the United States, was pleased to reveal the names of its first inductees into the Hog of Fame, Drew Herrington of Team Fleur De Que and Laura Filipek of Sweet Swine O Mine. "Stand up and Snout" had some technical difficulities but we had a great time.

2015..... Had great year and saw Hogs grow again did not place but we enjoyed raising alot of money for the cause.

2016, Well Stand up and Snout teamed up with another great team, Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon to form "New pigs on the Hock"

2017, Had a little rant but had a great weekend. Stand up and Snout had a few changes to the team and we placed 2nd in whole hog, and 1st in the Blue Plate side dish.
